A brief history of the (proposed) origins of large legs.
In Nebraska, we have tractor pulls. Not big diesel tractor pulls, but cast-iron pedal tractors, that kids pedal. You carry a weighted sled down a track, and if you pedal the weighted sled all the way, you get a "full pull." I consider these minute long, 30 rpm slogs the start of my cycling career. Since then, I've tried my legs at multiple disciplines; road racing, brevets/randonneuring, ultra-distance, gravel racing, and track. I've also delved into the upper echelon of mustache grooming on my recovery days.
